Nabors UAE has successfully opened its newly expanded Abu Dhabi facility, marking a significant step forward in strengthening operational capabilities across the region. More than a physical expansion, the facility signals a strategic shift toward integrated service delivery, operational efficiency, and deeper customer partnerships.
Mohamad Arafa, Nabors Abu Dhabi Area Manager, noted that the transition to the new facility was completed safely and efficiently, with zero lost-time incidents, reflecting Nabors’ strong safety culture and leadership. Along with the local management team, the opening ceremony was also attended by Subodh Saxena, Senior Vice President of Canrig and Nabors Drilling Solutions, highlighting the strategic significance of this expansion.
Spanning 42,800 square meters, the new facility houses advanced machine shops, fishing services and tools, rentals, tubular running services (CDS and conventional), and pressure control equipment. The site also supports a wide range of specialized services, including drill pipe rental, automated catwalk and offline bucking units, drilling tool rentals (stabilizers, jars, and more), high-torque wrenching, subassembly, cold cutting, and nitrogen testing services.
Integrated Delivery, Tangible Customer Value
International Tubular Services (ITS), now operating under the Nabors umbrella, is already serving customers across the Middle East from this expanded base. By consolidating multiple services through a single provider, the facility enables fewer interfaces, lower overall costs, and greater operational certainty for drilling operations.
For customers, this integrated model simplifies execution and enhances coordination, reducing downtime and improving overall efficiency. For Nabors, it strengthens how we deliver services, better resource utilization, and long-term, strategic partnerships rather than transactional sourcing.
